Chapter 8: Comparing ORAC values, percentages of OPCs, methods of extraction, etc.

When trying to explain the quality of MASQUELIER’s® Original OPCs we specifically avoid defining it in terms of ORAC, percentages of OPCs, methods of extraction, etc

Incorrect Example: MASQUELIER’s® Original OPCs provides one of the highest ORAC values.

Correct example: MASQUELIER’s® Original OPCs provides its specific selection of OPCs that is validated using the Complex Phytonutrient Authentication (CPA) system. This system provides a direct connection with the 70 years of scientific research on which the health benefits and safety of MASQUELIER’s® Original OPCs are based.

Background: With MASQUELIER’s® Original OPCs we have significant USPs at our disposal (scientific track record, unique composition, from the inventor, etc). These USPs are simply impossible for our competition to match. Moreover, if we were to use the same techniques as our competitors to define our product, we would actually make it easier for them to compete. Many so-called “OPC” products try to mask the lack of product-specific scientific research by claiming (high) percentages of OPCs and/or by presenting ORAC values in their marketing material or on their labels. In doing so, they succeed in confusing consumers into believing ORAC values have biological meaning. So much so it would seem that ORAC is what the market now dictates. However, if we respond in the same language it will only make it easier for our competition to compete with us. Thus we must suppress the urge to respond in similar wording, difficult as it may be, because by adopting our competitors’ language we will destroy our unique long-term position.
